For Me, yoga began as a personal practice and dedication to personal wellness. With a background in martial arts, I resonated with the rigorous Ashtanga Yoga practice. Through  dedication to the practice, I found the stillness of the mind, awareness of the body and reflection of the spirit. After six years of committed personal practice I journeyed to the ashram at Shoshoni in Colorado. At Shoshoni, I lived on the Ashram, performed seva, practiced meditation, and experienced the various disciplines of yoga daily while training to complete my  first traditional 200 hour  Hatha yoga teacher training. Since then,  I have been teaching , attended many workshops  for continuing education and completed a 300 hour Atmananda Vinyasa training ,  an Ashtanga & Iyengar  influenced lineage that focuses strongly on Alignment.

Namaste! I am Kristina, I found my passion and love for movement at an early age.  I grew up a dancer in Louisiana and found my way to the Big Apple.  Upon my move to Miami, I found yoga.  I trained at Atmananda Yoga Sequence under the guidance of Jhon Tamayo.  Under his wing I completed my RYT 500hr Teacher Training Certification.  Since completion I was honored to lead and assist with numerous Yoga Teacher Training Programs alongside Jhon.  I teach classes at the Atmananda Miami Beach location but most of my time is spent with my private students. As a dancer, I’m no stranger to injury, which is why I focus my teaching of yoga on safe alignment.  We can take our lessons slow flowing and stretchy, or with a bit more fire and power.  I will honor your goals with diligent care and attention.
